Thanks for visiting ọ̀rẹ́mi kids! We are honored that you are taking some time to learn more about us.

The phrase ọ̀rẹ́ mi means “my friend” in Yorùbá, a language spoken in West Africa. At ọ̀rẹ́mi kids, we are committed to producing purposeful hand-knit Black dolls and goods that empower children.

We are an eco-friendly, Black family-owned company on a mission to bridge the education gap between Black and non-minority children.

We create safe and sustainable hand-crafted dolls and goods that celebrate Black heritage and culture. Each of our dolls has a unique name, personality, and style to illustrate the wide cultural diversity within our community. We believe it is important to expose children to different cultures and to reinforce the importance of individuality, representation, and equality.

For every doll purchased, we will donate 10% of our profit to charities that focus on improving access to quality education for Black children.

This year, we look forward to pledging our donations to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and Nigeria Gives. Visit the section titled BRIDGING THE GAP to learn more.

We want our dolls to provide a sustainable stream of funding for organizations that advocate for educational equity. All children deserve equal opportunity to reach their full potential and access to a successful future despite their ethnic or socioeconomic background.

Please join us on our mission to bridge the gap by purchasing our soft and cuddly hand-knit dolls!
